Erik's first experimental album, Midnight Sun, is a project created over the span of eight months. It would have been impossible to create without the incredible talents provided by Tony Cruz (who shares writing and guitar performing credits on Roll), Robert Muir on guitar in Purple Heather, and Ashley Peterson and Lila Evans on vocals and violin respectively in Mr. Man. We all hope you enjoy it. It was an amazing journey making this album, and many friendships were made.

Oh, the summertime is comin', And the trees are sweetly blooming, Where the wild mountain thyme Grows around the purple heather Would ye go, lassie, go? And we'll all go together Where the wild mountain thyme Grows around the purple heather. Would ye go, lassie, go? I will build my love a bower By yon pure crystal fountain And around it I will pile Wild colors of the mountain. Would ye go, lassie, go? I will range through the wilds And the deep glen sae dreamy And return wi' my spoils Tae the bower o' my dearie Would ye go, lassie, go? If my true love she'll not come I will surely find no other To whom I could sing Songs that let her know I love her Would ye go, lassie, go? Oh, the autumn-time is comin' And the leaves are gently falling Where the wild mountain thyme Grows around the purple heather Would ye go, lassie, go?

Midnight Sun 03:49
I can't stop this trembling Something in my chest Somehow, these lights Don't help me see I can't stop thinking Something on my hands Somehow, these lines Don't help me read I shook off the dust from my feet Or so I thought The voices called me still Now the voices are gone away from me But we didn't know Some words would kill Set me free Grace my eyes Give me rest And tell me lies Shroud my mind Loose my tongue Leave these notes And don't be long Watch me bleed Clean my sins Keep my keys But don't you come again I can't stop walking Something on my mind Somehow this air Don't help me breath You can't stop singing Every word I write Somehow this door Don't help me leave I shook off the dust from my feet Or so I thought The voices called me still Now the voices are gone away from me But we didn't know Some words would kill Set me free Grace my eyes Give me rest And tell me lies Shroud my mind Loose my tongue Leave these notes And don't be long Watch me bleed Clean my sins Keep my keys But don't you come again Watch me bleed Clean my sins Keep my keys Don't you come again Find my breath Give my life Scar the dark Ward off the night Steal your light Be my one Set yourself Be the Midnight Sun

Sinking, drowning Darkness is all around me Noone to help me up there Glacier ice cold No arm to grasp hold No gills, no lungs, no fresh air Mind thinks, mouth speaks Nothing but mouse squeaks Put face-to-face with the best Forges, hammers Makers of swords and daggers Shoved directly into my chest I suppose I can say Things weren't meant to go this way Sweat drips from my brow If only I had said that line But 'ifs' won't help me this time It's far too late for 'ifs' now No words, black out Can't feel my mind now Five miles later, I wake No words, lock in I can't risk the selfish sin Not for mine, but for your sake Walk home, lights flare The stars are not there Or it's just my eyes are turned down Thoughts race, face fakes Lies, my tongue lace It's be the liar or clown Your voice fills me With thoughts of Dragonfruit tea The kind that heals all wounds Words are spoken Hearts then are broken My dreams will never come true But I will never blame you Sinking, drowning Darkness is all around me Noone to help me up there Glacier ice cold No arm to grasp hold No gills, no lungs, no fresh air Your voice fills me With thoughts of Dragonfruit tea The kind that heals all wounds Words are spoken Hearts then are broken Some dreams aren't meant to come true But I will never blame you Sinking feeling Hearts aren't meant for healing Mine's only been meant for her She won't want me She wouldn't believe Lochs and lagoons are my war

All is Well 04:02
Come walk with me Come talk with me Let's find a lake And raise it's waters Come ride with me Come die with me Let's find a park And feed it's grass These white walls Are my prison Pitch black rooms Are my cells Wearing muffs Like a headpiece cannon But to you My friend, all is well Come climb with me Come dine with me Let's raise a glass And drink 'til we drown Come sing with me Come swing with me Let's play a song 'Till we play it dead These white walls Are my prison Pitch black rooms Are my cells Wearing muffs Like a headpiece cannon But to you My friend, all is well
